Imagine having someone in your life with whom you can feel accepted, heard, safe and understood – no matter what you say. Someone with whom you can share the losses, disappointments, anger and pleasure you experience in life. Having someone you can rely upon. Same time, same place. If it all sounds so idyllic, it isn't. No pain, no gain. It take guts to enter therapy, look at yourself and take control of your life. But in a society where focus is on changing the outside, real change can only take place when we have changed inside. Sometimes we need help to make that change.
What therapy offers?
- To be understood, heard and comforted. Often, it is only when we are understood by another that we can understand ourselves.
- A safe space to bring un-manageable feelings and explore aspects of yourself.
- A sense of release in saying out loud what has been left unsaid.
- To make sense of your past, your feelings and to understand the part you play in your life.
- Insight and understanding so you can make decisions in your life that will work out better for you.
- Consistency and continuity. Someone is there for you at an agreed time, in the same place, every week . This is a safe space you can rely on.
